Mekumax
Mekumax is a systemic fungicide containing the active ingredient Hexaconazole. It belongs to the triazole group of fungicides, which are known for their powerful eradicant and protective properties. As a systemic fungicide, Mekumax is absorbed by the plant and moves upward through the xylem tissues. This means it protects not only the area where it was sprayed but also new growth, offering long-lasting defense against fungal attacks. Its key characteristics include systemic action, allowing it to enter the plant system and move upwards to protect the entire plant. It offers both curative and preventive functions, meaning it can stop existing infections while also protecting against future ones. Mekumax also provides a long residual effect, which reduces the need for frequent applications. Mekumax (Hexaconazole) works by inhibiting a key process in fungal cell development. It interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes. Without ergosterol, the fungal cells cannot grow or reproduce, effectively stopping the disease in its tracks. This mode of action makes it highly effective against a wide range of fungal diseases, particularly the powdery mildews and leaf spot complexes.
