Le-eshet
Leesheet is a highly effective, selective, systemic herbicide specifically formulated to control grassy weeds in a wide range of broadleaf crops. It contains the active ingredient Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl, which belongs to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate chemical class, commonly known as "FOPs" or ACCase inhibitors. As a post-emergence herbicide, Leesheet is applied directly to actively growing weeds after they have sprouted, allowing farmers to target infestations as they appear. Its selective action means it targets grassy weeds without harming the main crop, making it ideal for use in fields of wheat, rice, potatoes, soybeans, groundnuts, and various vegetables. Unlike contact herbicides that only kill the parts they touch, Leesheet is systemic, meaning it is absorbed through the leaves and green shoots and then translocated throughout the plant's system, traveling to the growing points, roots, and shoots to ensure complete control from the inside out.
How It Works
Once inside the weed, the active ingredient inhibits a critical enzyme called Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (ACCase), which is essential for the production of fatty acids that serve as the building blocks of plant cell membranes. Without the ability to produce new cell membranes, the weed cannot grow, and the growing points are starved of energy. Within a few days of application, visible symptoms appear as the weeds stop growing and begin to turn yellow or purple, eventually withering and dying. Complete control is usually achieved within two to three weeks after application. Leesheet is particularly effective against annual and perennial grassy weeds such as Barnyard Grass, Foxtail, Wild Oats, Crabgrass, seedling Johnsongrass, and Canary Grass. For best results, it should be applied when weeds are young and actively growing, typically at the two to four leaf stage, as mature weeds are harder to control and may require higher doses. A common mixing rate is 80 to 120 ml per acre, mixed with enough water—usually 150 to 200 liters—to ensure thorough coverage of the weed foliage. Application is most effective in warm, humid conditions, while spraying during drought stress or extreme temperatures should be avoided. The key benefits of using Leesheet include its high selectivity that protects crops while controlling grasses, its systemic action that kills the entire weed including roots to prevent regrowth, its flexible post-emergence application window, and its broad spectrum of control against problematic grass species.
